About Steve Webb

Experienced storytelling. A personal approach.

World-Wide Webb Productions is led by Steve Webb, a producer, director and series producer with more than 25 years’ experience making documentaries, television programmes and commercial films.

Born in Manchester, Steve began his career as a BBC reporter in Northern Ireland. That journalistic grounding continues to shape his work: asking the right questions, earning contributors’ trust and making complex stories clear and compelling.

His credits include Kalvin Phillips: The Road to City, MH370: The Lost Flight, JFK: Seven Days That Made a President and How Bruce Lee Changed the World. His work spans intimate personal stories, historical documentaries, investigative series and branded content for UK and international audiences.

Steve worked on the Peabody Award-winning CNN Heroes and directed the Grierson-nominated Censored at the Seaside. His short film, The Last Thing to Go Through a Fly’s Mind, also received festival awards.

How I Work

I work directly with clients to understand their audience, find the strongest story and guide the project through to delivery. For organisations commissioning a film, I assemble a team of trusted camera, sound and editing professionals to suit the brief and budget.

For television companies and agencies, I offer producing, directing and editorial leadership—including helping complicated projects find their narrative shape and bringing difficult edits under control.

Whether you have a clear brief or an idea that needs developing, I’d welcome a conversation.
