CURRENT PROJECTS AT WWW PRODUCTIONS

FEATURE FILM DEVELOPMENT

In 2007 WWW Productions made the comedy short, 'The Last Thing To Go Through A Fly's Mind'.  To date it has won Moving Pictures Magazine's Best Narrative Short award, Shooting People's best Comedy award at the London Short Film Festival and the Best Film award at the Portobello Film Festival.  Following on from this success, Phil and Steve Webb are developing two feature length projects. 'Just Like Chicken' is a twisted comedy about two young chefs whose fortunes change when they start cooking their enemies and feeding them to their customers. 'Snowball' is a comedy thriller about how a former soap star's life snowballs out of control and the police's efforts to locate him as he recounts his downfall whilst being driven to his execution in the boot of a car.  We are currently seeking a producer for 'Just Like Chicken.'

DOCUMENTARY: The Lost Film of Fela Kuti

Between 1974 and 1976, Nigerian musical legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti made a biographical feature film called 'Black President'.  While the soundtrack was being finished, 1000 soldiers of the Nigerian Army attacked Fela’s commune razing it to the ground.  It was feared that the film was lost for good.  Now, for the first time, WWW Productions has obtained exclusive access to this unique & historical footage.  This feature length documentary will use this beautifully shot 35mm film footage to tell the story of Africa’s greatest musical icon.  It will combine the ‘Black President’ footage with interviews of some of the key players involved in its making including JK Briamah (Fela’s closest friend & fellow star) plus the producer and director.  It will also include archive news footage and never before seen photos as well as live performances by Fela & the Afrika 70 in their heyday.  Shot on location in the UK, USA, Nigeria & Ghana, this will be the first screening of this unique & historical material & the most in-depth biography of this musical icon to date.
